Wow! Where have I been? What have I been up to? Well, am currently working in Nashville Tennessee as a Lab Tech processing human plasma from willing donaters. Getting ready to start training in phlebotomy.

I am thinking about starting a recipe blog or something different with a specific theme. Any suggestions? Well enough for now.

Power of Prayer

I recently got this email and really like the idea. I’m going to add it to my daily to do list.

Someone has said if Christians really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Did you know that during WWII there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every day at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace?

There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. If you would like to participate: Every evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central) (7:00 PM Mountain) (6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, and for a return to a Godly nation.

If you know anyone else who would like to participate, please pass this along. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have. Please forward this to your praying friends.

Ok, this is my weekly geek fix…

My first computer, that wasn’t handed down to me, was a Radio Shack Tandy with a 25 megabytes hard drive. When I purchased this computer, I immediately maxed out my ram with an upgrade to 8 megabytes and figured I wouldn’t need another computer for years. HA!

Yesterday, I was digging through my junk drawer and found a 16 megabyte SD chip and forgot they even came that small. My current one is 256 megabytes.

Today, I have computers and other devices that have 700 gigabytes collectively, give or take a byte or two. Who in their right mind would ever need a Terabyte let alone 4? And, by the way, you know what comes after Tera? The answer is Peta, then Exa, followed by Zetta, Yotta and Manco. This is as high as the Wikipedia shows, but my vote for next after Manco is Bicea.

Tera is 1 followed by 12 zeros - 1 000 000 000 000

Peta is 1 followed by 15 zeros - 1 000 000 000 000 000

Exa is 1 followed by 18 zeros - 1 000 000 000 000 000 000
